We are seeking:
Experienced and resilient Residential Support Workers to join our Ofsted‑registered solo service in Southport.
Ideal candidates will bring the drive, patience, and emotional regulation skills needed to help create a nurturing and structured environment where young people who have experienced trauma can develop emotionally, socially, and educationally.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Remain calm under pressure and respond confidently to challenging behaviour.
- Communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team.
- Hold, or are working towards, a Level 2 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care (desirable).
- Are available for full‑time hours.
- Bring previous experience (desirable but not essential).
- Hold a driving licence (advantageous but not essential).
- This role is well suited to someone who is committed to developing their skills and reflective capacity, and is passionate about making a meaningful difference in a young person’s life.
Duties include:
- Support with routines such as preparing meals, promoting healthy activities, attending appointments.
- Safeguarding the wellbeing our young people.
- Promoting positive outcomes by ensuring care plans are adhered to.
- Encourage independence and life‑skills development.
- Maintaining cleaning standards within the home by carrying out daily tasks.
- Ensuring daily reports are accurately completed.
- Assess and respond to risks, recording concerns accurately.
- Implement behaviour support plans and de‑escalation strategies.
- Work as part of a team, modelling professional boundaries and consistent child centred practice.
- Multi-agency working with social workers, schools, health professionals, and families.
Pay Structure:
- No experience and during probation - £12.75 per hour.
- After passed probation period - £13.00.
- Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Children's Residential - £13.50.
- Level 4 Diploma in Children's Residential - £14.00.
- Sleep in rate £60/night
